Tecno T3 will run on the Android 2.3 operating system and will be available at an estimated price ranging between US$334 to $445. Tecno Mobile is still carrying out research to settle on the exact pricing for the new smartphone.

Many of the company's phones, which support the country's main languages, have been made available in the Ethiopian market. Tecno Ethiopia general manager Henry Yu said, however, that the new phone will only support the Amharic language.

The Amharic language application was developed by Information Technology Transfer Services (ITTS), a Ethiopian partner company. According to ITTS chief executive AcAyalew Aseffa, the Amharic language software, keypad and messaging application will work on all Android platforms.

Ethiopian mobiles have a low-penetration rate in the country due to the state-owned Telco hold of a monopoly over the market.
