Movial, the Experience Engineering company, recently announced BroadSoft, Inc. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Movial Applications Oy, its affiliate focused on client products and that the company will now focus on growing its software development and user experience services business.  The closing of the acquisition is subject to the satisfaction of various customary closing conditions.

Movial will continue to service operators with IP Communications device solutions on Android, other Linux based systems and Open source IMS solutions, as well as work with SOCs on hardware acceleration capabilities to unlock optimized user experiences. Movial designs and delivers precision engineered device software, cloud services and system integration services for global OEMs and ODMs enabling them to better monetize through value added services and differentiated end user experiences.

Key growth

A key new growth area for the company is the design and engineering of innovative servitization across vertical industries including telecom, electronics, manufacturing, Internet and healthcare. “Services are becoming increasingly fundamental to hardware and software, and we have seen a significant uptick in companies turning to Movial’s user experience experts to help them design and engineer differentiated service components,” said Jari Ala-Ruona, CEO, Movial.  “Movial is uniquely equipped to meet this growing demand for servitization.
