InMobi will be the exclusive external mobile ad network for Nigeria’s premium lifestyle app, Essential App, which provides information on cinema timing, foreign exchange rates, flight schedules and business directories.

Commenting on the partnership, head of product development for One Number, Emmanuel Ogar, said, “We are excited to announce our exclusive partnership with InMobi and are confident they will provide a targeted solution to support Essential App. InMobi’s mobile intelligence will enable us to harness the full potential of monetising on this platform which has been a challenge in the past.

Ogar added, “With Nigeria having the most market share for mobile phone browsing in the world, our partnership will create new opportunities for premium brands that are willing to connect and interact with their key audiences through mobile.”

InMobi vice president and managing director Isis Nyong’o said, “InMobi provides innovative mobile solutions for developers from around the world to monetise their applications. As a global organisation we are able to serve relevant premium brand and rich media ads to users of the app whether they are in London, Lagos or Singapore.”

Developers have ensured that the app will be lightweight with download time of less than 30 seconds. It will be available on Blackberry and selected Nokia phones.
