Network security solution provider Cyberoam reported that it is expecting huge supply and installation deals, following the growing number of cyber threats in Tanzania

According to the company, the number of unauthorised accesses to computer networks has risen as the country is making rapid economic growth with greater use of ICT.

Kalpesh Maheshwari, country manager for Cyberoam Tanzania, said that the growing severity of malwares and phishing attacks were also forcing established businesses to revisit their security posture. Cyberoam is banking on such situations to grow its suppliers in the region to competitively position its offering to the market, he added.

“There is tremendous scope for network security appliances in East Africa where new businesses are rapidly expanding their infrastructure. Cyberoam is committed to deliver a future ready network security portfolio, which will suit all types of organisations regardless of their sizes,” stated the country manager.

Maheshwari noted that Cyberoam had recently won a massive deal with NMB Bank of Tanzania to supply network threat management systems.
